Photohunt 140: Favorite

photohuntMy favorite fresh water fish, Tilapia...grill it with a bit of salt and lime. Eat it with Asam Sauce (Air Asam) dip and a nice warm white rice...slrrrppppp..

    Hey, that's one of my favorites too- Tilapia and also the best way to cook it, grilled!!

    That made me crave it-- and i can't have it until late spring... so hard to cook grilled stuff now that it's winter! Yay!

    You should try marinate it with some turmeric spice first. It will taste better. Any more fish left for me to try out? hehe :P

    Always thought tilapia was African, though on second thoughts, I believe they were seeded to Lake Victoria to provide additional protein.

    Hey Bintang - it's my favorite too! One of my favorites is tilapia cooked stuffed with a mixture of grated ginger, minced garlic, onions, tomatoes and pepper, wrapped in pechay leaves, cooked in coconut milk and chopped fresh chilli, over a slow fire.

    ummm....enaknyaa.... I also often make fire fish, with sauce asam, eat it with warm with rice and 'ketchup chili sauce'

    Recipes:
    union, chili, citrus fruit, ketchup, tomato, salt

    It's so delicious

    sedapnya ikan bakar... memang sedap makan sempoi cicah dgn air asam & makan dengan nasi panas. Aiseh, lapar lah pulak. :P
